After graduation in May 2005, I started a graduate program in July for a joint degree in Marine Biology and Coastal Zone management. After a year of study, I wasn’t impressed with the program and therefore I made the decision to change graduate programs. I then attended and graduated from Tufts University with my Master’s degree. For almost 2 years now I have been working at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, New England Region. I am an Environmental Scientist in the Office of Ecosystem Protection, Ocean and Coastal Unit. I primarily work on the No Discharge Area program, National Estuary Program, dredged material management, regional ocean initiatives (e.g., Northeast Regional Ocean Council), and Climate Change. I recently had abstracts accepted for the Maine Water Conference and the Coastal Zone 2009 conference where I will present on No Discharge Areas, including the results of my master’s thesis.
