RWU Monitoring Station
on Mt. Hope Bay

On
the end of Roger Williams University's RWU's) Learning Platform is a YSI
probe suspended approximately one meter below the water's surface. The
system records water temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen
concentration, pH and chlorophyll-a concentration every 15
minutes. RWU is part of a larger consortium that
monitors water quality in
Narragansett Bay. The consortium is coordinated by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental
Management (RIDEM). |
